Grandpa suffer as you do when he was on the Illustrious. I had the same experience on the Bar Harbour to Yarmouth ferry so I can identify.

My goodness Ali, if this is how bad it is to be seasick, I'm not entirely sure how a TEN day sail is going to be from Tenerife to Benin! What have I got myself into???
Okay, I just want to take this opportunity to say, I LOVE your blog. You are an incredible communicator! What a gift from God!
I miss you guys plenty plenty!

I know you have probably heard every remedy in the book and can't just run to Walgreen's for another, but just in case....ginger capsules. They work wonders for me. I can read while sitting sideways in the back seat of a car that's winding through the mountains of West Virginia and not feel the least bit of motion sickness. Love it! I've not sailed, so I'm sure it's much more profound, but still worth offering the suggestion. I'll pray that the waves quit thundering around your bunk!

God speed, Ali! Safe journey home, and may your body continue to uphold the truce and keep you steady for the remainder of your journey home. :-)
