I'm praying and sending all my love and prayers to you all. I know that I probably can't understand your situation , but I've been through a lot with having three mentally retarded children, which was not revealed until I had my daughter. This is only due to the fact that I carry a very defective X chromosome. It's heredity and was unfortunatelty not discovered until I had my children. So, what I'm basically saying. Is I'm very understanding, caring and very supportive of you and your sons very special needs. I do love and pray for you all, and I'll continually be praying too. God Will Answer Your prayers as He Is The Great Physician. I love you all, and I'm sending my prayers as we'll.

Oh Ali, praise God you have a plan now. More information, good people caring for your son and for you. A birth with midwives right there with Ethan's doctors on hand. Wondeful! What a blessing.

I have not been though this exact situation, but I have been handed many crosses as a mother: my kids have been through so much. I guess I'm just saying, I understand. I am so glad for you that you've got such a good Children's hospital.

{{hugs}} and prayers

Hi Alie,
I tried to send you an email regarding possible housing in Philly, but it wouldn't send! Maybe you could email my email first? Not sure why it didn't work - I checked the spelling!

Dear Ali, Phil and Zoe - I join with all who pray for you and wish you well. Ethan's extremely rare condition and its guarded prognosis carries a major chance of a good outcome thanks to the medical facilities to which you are fortunate to have access. I wish I were there on the team to help Ethan. I will be posting your blog to my page. Dee

I am praying with all my might over here and will continue to do so. I felt led to pray for you on my way home from work today; I had no idea you were at CHOP today. God is good!

I stumbled on your blog somehow a few weeks ago. I am praying for your sweet family and Ethan. Your kids are so blessed to have wonderful Godly parents who turn to HIM during the hard times.

I am so thankful that you have some answers now to all the questions that have been building up over the past few months! It is evident that God is holding onto you every step of the way. I continue to pray that you all are able to find a place to live and a car and most especially, for Ethan's arrival. That everything comes together. Much love and prayers coming your way

Try here http://mats.org/ for a car. They can look all over to find you what you want and have someone drive it to you. The specialize in working with missionaries.

Oh wow. This is an AWESOME resource that I'd never heard of! Thank you so much for pointing me in their direction. I'm heading to bed now (yup, at 9PM; I have no shame) but I'll be on there first thing in the morning. Thank you!!

Ali,

This is Andi Wingert, Amber's mom. THere is a family at church, in Philly, who is willing to let you use their guestroom for the summer. How do you want to connect? I'd like to forward their message to your email if possible.

I will be praying. A couple of ideas came to me about housing. I don't live in the area so I can't help out in that manner, but I have traveled to a city far from home to seek medical care for a child. My first thought was Ronald McDonald House. The local chapter is http://www.philarmh.org/. My second thought was hotel points... if someone or a lot of people donated their points, then you could stay in a suite at a Starwood hotel for the duration. The plus there is that you would have housekeeping. My third thought was churches stepping in to support you all in this time just like they do when you are on the mission field. I will be praying and I will do some looking into my second two ideas and let you know what I come up with. You have enough to deal with. Keep resting in God's arms and take care of you.

I have a place you could sublet in Philly: it's furnished, great for kids and available mid August through the end of December, but it might not be in your budget. You can email me for details...(I don't want to post my email, but I'm hoping you can get at it through the blog. If not, you can post a reply and I will check back later...)
